# TasKadence > TasKadence by Indrasol: where the work behind your goals gets done. Plan projects, goals and milestones, and track every task to done, with your people and your AI agents working in the same place. Works inside Claude today; ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot are coming soon. Free to start. TasKadence is a work management platform for teams and organizations that want their goals and the work behind them in one place: projects hold goals, milestones, sprints and tasks, progress rolls up as tasks are completed, and people and AI agents work side by side in the same workspace. It is built for whole teams (owners, admins, members and guests), for people who plan with an AI assistant, and for developers who automate work through its API. This is the full version of https://taskadence.com/llms.txt, with the launch post and the Guide's overview included. ## What it does - **Tasks and My Tasks**: My Tasks is everything assigned to you; Search all tasks is every task in the organization, with filters, saved views, a table you edit in the row or a board, subtasks and blockers. - **Projects and roles**: a project holds its people, sprints, goals, milestones, resources and tasks; it is public or private, can have sub-projects, and each person has a project role (owner, lead, manager, member or viewer). Organization roles are Owner, Admin, Member and Guest. - **Planning**: Goals: Name what success looks like for each project, as a list or on a timeline. Milestones: Dated checkpoints under each project, with the tasks that land them and progress as they close. Sprints & capacity: Each project plans in sprints; Planning shows them all, and who's available before you commit. Boards & lists: Each project's tasks as a Kanban board grouped by sprint or a dense list you edit in the row; Planning has them all. - **Working together**: comments on a task with file attachments, emoji reactions, and subscribers who get an email when a task changes; illustrated avatars or a photo; per-kind email settings. - **One account for many organizations**: an account sits above the organizations you own, with one owner, one People directory and one bill, and storage shared across them; organizations can move between accounts. - **AI assistants**: Works inside Claude today; ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot are coming soon. Add it from the Claude directory (https://claude.ai/directory/taskadence); in Claude it answers with interactive views for tasks, sprints, goals and projects. Any MCP client can connect to the MCP server too (Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI, Windsurf and Zed). - **Agents work where your team works**: Connect an AI tool over MCP, or call the REST API or the Python SDK. Agents create and update tasks, projects, sprints, goals and milestones in the same workspace your people use. - **Marked, and held for review**: Every task an agent creates carries a Bot mark. Your organization can hold agent tasks for a person to accept or reject (for private projects, for every agent task, or never), and a project owner can hold every agent task in their project. - **On the record**: Every agent action is in the audit log, under the token's or the app's name. - **Scoped, and revocable**: Read-only mode, tool groups and per-scope consent limit what a connection can do. Revoke a token or disconnect an app at any time. - **Security**: sign-in with a one-time code sent to your email (no password), optional two-step sign-in with an authenticator app that owners can require, private attachments behind links that expire, and HTTPS everywhere. Org-bound access: An access token belongs to one organization; an OAuth connection acts in the one organization you choose at consent. Scopes and token policy: Namespaced scopes on every token and connection. Owners can require expiry, cap token lifetime and turn off personal tokens. Audit log: Who did what and when, for people, tokens and apps alike, with retention you set. Signed webhooks: Payloads signed with HMAC-SHA256 in the Standard Webhooks format, with retries, a delivery log and replay. Data per organization: Organization-level isolation enforced in the API, backed by Postgres row-level security. - **For developers**: REST API (/v1): Every object your team works with, over JSON: tasks, projects, goals, milestones, sprints, webhooks. Python SDK + CLI (taskadence · tm): A typed client with pagination, retries and typed errors, and a command line for scripts. MCP server (remote · local): One server for AI tools: connect over OAuth or with a token, read-only if you like, with the tool groups you pick. Signed webhooks with retries, a delivery log and replay; register your own OAuth app for others to connect. - **Pricing**: free to start, for the whole team; see [Pricing](https://taskadence.com/pricing) for the current plans. ## Launch post: Introducing TasKadence: where the work behind your goals gets done Source: https://taskadence.com/blog/introducing-taskadence (2026-10-27) Most teams keep their goals in one place and their work in another. The goals live in a deck or a document, the tasks live in a tracker, and by the middle of the quarter nobody can say which tasks move which goal. TasKadence closes that gap: it is where the work behind your goals gets done, with your people and your AI assistant in the same place. *Figure: From what you want to achieve to done. A project holds goals and milestones. Tasks sit under them, and progress rolls up as the tasks are completed.* Here is what that looks like, piece by piece. ### Tasks that stay organised **My Tasks** is everything assigned to you; **Search all tasks** is every task in your organization. Type a keyword or an ID, filter by status, priority, owner, project or date, and save the result as a view you can pin. Your search and filters are still there when you come back from another page, and the address keeps them, so you can send a colleague the exact same list. - **Table or board.** Edit a task right in its row, or switch to a board with a column per status. - **Subtasks and blockers.** Break work down, and link a task to the tasks it waits on so you can see what is holding it up. - **Newest first.** A Created column puts what was just added at the top. ### Projects A project is where a body of work lives: its people, sprints, goals, milestones, resources and tasks, each in its own tab. Big projects split into sub-projects. Give a project a logo so it is easy to spot, and make it **public** (every member of the organization sees it) or **private** (only the people you add). - **Members and roles.** Each person has a project role: owner, lead, manager, member or viewer. - **Everything inside.** Tasks, milestones and goals are tabs of their project, not separate apps. ### Planning in one place **Planning** is your whole organization's work on one page: every project's sprints, everyone's capacity and every task. Sprints belong to projects, and **Focus projects** narrows the page to the ones you care about (yours, your pinned ones, or a hand-picked list) and remembers your choice. - **Goals that fill up.** A goal's progress is the share of its tasks that are done, so it moves as the work does. - **Milestones on a timeline.** Dated checkpoints with a Today line; drag one to change its date. - **Capacity.** See who is away, day by day, before you commit to a sprint. ### Work together Talk about a task where the task is. A comment can carry up to 5 files of up to 100 MB each, and when a reply would be one word, react with an emoji instead. Each task has **subscribers** who get an email when it changes; whoever creates it and whoever it is assigned to are subscribed for you. - **Faces everywhere.** Pick one of 36 illustrated avatars or upload a photo; it shows on tasks, comments and people pickers. - **Email you choose.** Switch each kind of email on or off in your profile. Account and service email always arrives. ### Your AI assistant, connected TasKadence works inside Claude today: [add it from the Claude directory](https://claude.ai/directory/taskadence). Ask about your work and Claude answers with interactive views for tasks, sprints, goals and projects, right in the chat. Any assistant that speaks MCP can connect too, including Cursor, VS Code, GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot are coming soon. - **One connection, all your organizations.** Choose All my organizations when you connect, and lists show which organization each item comes from. - **Every change on the record.** What an assistant does is in the audit log under your name, and every task it creates carries a Bot mark. - **Review before it lands.** Your organization, or a project owner, can hold agent tasks until a person accepts or rejects them. The details are in [TasKadence now works inside Claude](https://taskadence.com/blog/taskadence-now-works-inside-claude) and [Use TasKadence from your AI assistant](https://taskadence.com/blog/use-taskadence-from-your-ai-assistant). ### One account for your organizations Many people run more than one organization: a company, a client workspace, a side project. Your account sits above the organizations you own, with one owner, one People directory and one bill, all in **Settings > Account**. - **10 GB of free storage**, shared by all the account's organizations. TasKadence is free for your whole team; you pay only for storage beyond that. - **Organizations that move.** Move an organization to another account, or hand the account to a new owner. More in [One account, many organizations](https://taskadence.com/blog/one-account-many-organizations). ### Secure by design You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, with no password to leak, and you can add two-step sign-in with an authenticator app; an organization's owners can require it. Each organization's data is kept apart in the API and by Postgres row-level security. - **Private files.** Attachments are stored privately and open through links that expire after a few minutes. - **Audit log.** Owners and admins see who did what and when, for people, tokens and apps alike. - **Encrypted in transit, backed up.** Every connection uses HTTPS, and restoring from a backup is a procedure we rehearse. How to report a vulnerability, and the rest of what we do, is on the [Security page](https://taskadence.com/security). ### For developers Everything your team does in the app, you can do in code. Tokens are scoped, belong to one organization, and can be revoked at any time. - **REST API, Python SDK and CLI.** Tasks, projects, goals, milestones, sprints and webhooks over JSON, with a typed client and a command line for scripts. - **Webhooks and OAuth apps.** Signed webhooks with retries, a delivery log and replay; register your own OAuth app for others to connect. - **MCP server.** Remote or local, over OAuth or a token, read-only if you like. Start at [docs.taskadence.com](https://docs.taskadence.com/). ### Built to scale Before launch we load-tested TasKadence on a full-size copy of production, with every customer working at once, and it stayed fast. The API scales out as you grow, and your data lives in managed Postgres. ### Get started TasKadence is free for your whole team. [Sign up](https://taskadence.com/login?mode=signup), create your first project, and add a goal and a few tasks; it takes a couple of minutes. - **Learn the basics** in the [Guide](https://taskadence.com/guide). - **Plan with your assistant:** [Plan a sprint in 5 minutes with your AI assistant](https://taskadence.com/blog/plan-a-sprint-in-5-minutes-with-your-ai-assistant). - **See how the views are built:** [How we built interactive views with MCP Apps](https://taskadence.com/blog/how-we-built-interactive-views-with-mcp-apps). Tell us what you think from **Settings > Feedback**. ## The Guide, in brief Source: https://taskadence.com/guide ### Get started An organization, a project, a few tasks and your people: everything else builds on these four. - **Organizations**: An organization is your workspace: it holds your projects, tasks and members, and each member has a role in it. - **Create a project**: A project is where a body of work lives: its tasks, and the goals and milestones under it. - **Add your first tasks**: A task is one piece of work, with a status, a priority, an owner, dates and tags. - **Invite members**: Owners and admins invite people by email; the invitation waits on their organizations page. ### Work on tasks One fast list for every task, a board beside it, and a panel with everything about a task. - **My Tasks and Search all tasks**: One list in two modes: My Tasks is what is assigned to you; Search all tasks is every task in the organization. - **List and Kanban**: Every task list is a dense table you edit in the row, and a board with one column per status. - **The task panel**: Click a task and it opens beside the list with all its fields, its blockers and subtasks, attachments and activity. - **Filters, sort and saved views**: Narrow a list with filters, order it with Sort, and save the result as a view to come back to. - **Blockers**: A blocker links a task to the other tasks it waits on, so you can see what is holding it up. - **Comments and attachments**: A task's Activity holds its comments and its changes; its Attachments hold up to five files. - **Pin projects and views**: Pinned is the sidebar list of the projects and saved views you open most. ### Plan and track Goals, milestones and sprints belong to projects; Planning shows them across every project; progress rolls up as tasks are done. - **Inside a project**: Everything a project owns sits in its tabs: Details, Tasks, Milestones, Goals, Resources, Sub-projects and Settings. - **Goals**: A goal names what success looks like for a project; its tasks sit under it, and its progress is the share of them completed. - **Milestones**: A milestone is a dated checkpoint under a project, with the tasks that land it. - **Timeline view**: A project's Goals and Milestones tabs each have a Timeline: every item at its date, with a Today line. - **Planning**: Planning is the whole organization's work in one place: every project's sprints, everyone's capacity and every task. - **Sprints**: A sprint is a dated block of a project's work; the one running today is marked Current. - **Capacity and availability**: Capacity lives under Planning: everyone in the organization, who is away day by day, and what each person carries. ### Work with AI agents Agents work in the same workspace as your people - marked, reviewable and on the record. - **What agents can do**: AI agents read and change your work through the MCP server, the REST API or the Python SDK, within the access you give them. - **Connect an AI tool**: The MCP tab writes the setup for your AI client - Claude, Cursor, VS Code and others - in three steps. - **Agent tasks and review**: Tasks an agent creates carry a Bot mark. When your organization or a project asks for review, they wait as Needs review until a person accepts or rejects them. - **Access tokens and connected apps**: An access token lets a script or an agent act in one organization with the scopes you pick; connected apps are the apps you allowed on a consent page. ### Admin and trust For owners and admins: who is in, what the defaults are, and a record of every change. - **Members and roles**: Members lists everyone in the organization with their role, designation and when they were last active. - **Organization settings**: Owners and admins set the defaults for the whole organization. - **Storage and billing**: Every account gets 10 GB of file storage free, shared by all its organizations; storage beyond it is billed to one card for the whole account. - **Audit log**: The audit log records every access-relevant change - who, what, when - for people, tokens and apps, newest first. - **Webhooks**: A webhook sends a signed JSON body to your URL when the events you pick happen in your organization. - **Developer docs**: The developer docs cover the REST API reference, webhooks, the MCP server, the Python SDK and the tm command line. ### Keyboard shortcuts The keys that work across TasKadence today. - **Keyboard shortcuts**: Press ? anywhere in the app to see these keys. ## Key pages - [Home](https://taskadence.com/index): the landing page: where the work behind your goals gets done - [Product](https://taskadence.com/index#product): how projects, goals, milestones and tasks fit together - [Agents](https://taskadence.com/index#agents): how AI agents work in the same workspace, marked, reviewed and audited - [Security](https://taskadence.com/security): how data is protected, and how to report a vulnerability - [Pricing](https://taskadence.com/pricing): free to start; the current plans - [Guide](https://taskadence.com/guide): how to use every part of the app, chapter by chapter ## AI assistants - [TasKadence in the Claude directory](https://claude.ai/directory/taskadence): add the connector to Claude - [Connect an AI assistant over MCP](https://docs.taskadence.com/mcp/connect/): any MCP client, over OAuth or with a token ## Developers - [Developer docs](https://docs.taskadence.com/): REST API, Python SDK and CLI, webhooks, OAuth apps and the MCP server ## Blog - [Introducing TasKadence: where the work behind your goals gets done](https://taskadence.com/blog/introducing-taskadence): Goals, projects, sprints and tasks in one place, with your people and your AI assistant working side by side.
